My dear friends,
I do not usually make presentations and announcements of my current projects. This time I will make an exception. I would like to proudly present my meeting with the excellent representative of the Byzantine Musical Tradition Nektaria Karantzi. The starting point of our cooperation is the deep inner intent to join two different worlds of music that seem inconsistent and sometimes incompatible. The Echoes of Bach and Beethoven through the full sound of the Symphony Orchestra encounter the simple and modest Byzantine musical expression . Far away from unnecessary verbosity styles and human gestures . These two different musical worlds can be married because of their common origin of music of God. The music of the people is the closest sense of the language of Angels and God. It is the beginning of true Melody. Sample of this cooperation is the following parts of my musical projects, titled "Hours" (2013) and "David" (2014). "David" is going to be released soon by ECM records. We're all performers.
